The Colostomy Association is a UK charity that provides support, reassurance and practical advice to anyone who has or is about to have stoma surgery. We believe that everyone with a colostomy should be able to live a full and active life. We are here to help and support you, your family and carers.
Our 24/7 helpline offers advice and support – our volunteers, who all have a colostomy, will listen and provide reassurance.
Around one quarter of people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are under 16 years old when diagnosed.1 At first, it’s not possible to be sure how their disease will progress – whether they will go on to have only mild symptoms and need minimal treatment, or whether they will have more severe problems and need to take potent medicines or have surgery.
We are committed to passing on 100% of the money we raise. No administrative costs are recovered from donations.
IBDrelief is for everyone and anyone affected by inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – this includes people who have IBD, their families, their friends, healthcare professionals and researchers.
Through IBDrelief we want to support, inform, connect and educate people about IBD, as well as improve the quality of life for those affected by it.
We are a social enterprise – a company which looks to tackle social problems, improve communities, people’s life chances or the environment.
We’re the UK’s leading charity in the battle against Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Founded as a patients’ association in 1979, we now have 32,000 members across the UK.
We are an internet based support website for Ostomates of all types. We hope to provide the answers to any problems you may have living with a ostomy whether its leakages, sore skin or just a chat to another Ostomate. We are available online and will take your call anytime you need to talk.
